This year, applicants for admission to the WB ANM programmes will be shortlisted on the basis of an entrance exam and a counselling process. The ANM (R) course lasts two years. The  Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) programme is a diploma level course. Till last year, West Bengal Health & Family Welfare Department was the conducting body and the admissions were granted on the basis of merit of the candidates in the last exam cleared. From the 2021-22 session, WBJEEB has taken over and will conduct the entrance exam to facilitate admission in the West Bengal ANM Nursing course. There are a total of 500 (263 reserved and 237 unreserved) for ANM courses across various nursing colleges in West Bengal.

Candidates can find the eligibility requirements for applying for admission below. All applicants must meet the eligibility requirements, which are based on the previous year's results. The eligibility criteria for each course are listed below.

• Only female applicants are eligible to apply.
• The age limit is 17 to 30 years old as of December 31st of the admission year.
• Citizenship- The applicant must be an Indian citizen who has resided continuously in the Gram Panchayat area of the concerned West Bengal district for at least 5 years prior to the application submission date.
• The candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate in Bengali or Nepali.
• Educational requirements include passing the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education's Higher Secondary, class 12 examination, the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development's Vocational Agricultural Examination, and the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development's Vocational Health Care Science Examination. In addition, applicants must have received a minimum of 40 per cent in English and 40% overall.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board will shortlist the candidates for admission to the Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) course based on their performance and score in the common entrance test. A merit list will be made and released based on the entrance exam results. The merit list will be prepared on basis of the top four subjects. English will be one of these required subjects. The conducting authority publishes a merit list on its official website after all of the applications have been submitted and the review has been finished.

On the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in, candidates can access and apply for the application form online. The application form can't be submitted in any other way. Candidates will be able to pay the following application fees using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card only.The application fee for General Candidate is Rs 300 and for SC/ST/OBC Candidates is Rs 200.

To apply for West Bengal ANM Nursing, the first step is to register.

• Create an account by registering using personal details such as name, address and mobile number 
• Complete and submit the application form
• Scan and upload a copy of your picture and signature
• Pay the application fee only via the internet
• Hold a copy of the confirmation page and the admit card in a secure spot

The exam will take place on August 22, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be sixty-five (65) questions on the report. All of the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four possible answers. The paper will take 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Except for the English and logical reasoning sections, the questions will be in both English and Bengali.

Until counselling, the competent authority will announce the seat matrix for the academic session 2021-22, which will be published on the Board's website. According to last year's figures, there are 500 seats available for Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery Training, out of which 263 seats are for reserved categories and 237 are for unreserved.

West Bengal Government's Department of Health and Family Welfare was the sole conducting body to conduct and release the information bulletin which contains the dates of all the events to conduct and facilitate admission into the Auxillary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) programme. From 2021-22 session the admission will be done on the basis of candidates' performance in the common entrance test. The entrance test will be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB).

The West Bengal Government's Department of Health and Family Welfare and the WBJEEB has released a complete schedule of events to be held across the state to process admission to the WB ANM course. The following is a schedule to which interested candidates can refer:

The Government of West Bengal, Department of Health and Family Welfare along with the WBJEEB are the conducting bodies for the WB ANM nursing training course has started accepting the applications from March 31, 2021, and candidates can apply till April 27, 2021, till 11:00 PM and choice of filling school will close on August 12, 2021.

The West Bengal ANM Nursing 2021 application correction window online will begin on April 28 and end on April 30, 2021. The applicants can log in to their accounts using the application number to edit the application forms.

West Bengal ANM Nursing 2021 admit card will be released by the WBJEEB on its official website. The admit card will be available in PDF form and can be downloaded. The admit card is the mandatory document aspirants have to carry with them on the day of examination. WBJEEB will release the West Bengal ANM admit card on August 16, 2021.

West Bengal ANM Nursing 2021 exam dates have been announced and the exam is scheduled to take place on August 22, 2021. The entrance exam will be a state-level exam to facilitate admissions to two year ANM diploma course.
